Market indexes had an up day with the market closing up more than 133 points while the Nasdaq saw an increase in the index of more than 48 points. The S&P 500 was up near 14 points.
Oil traded down below $45 per barrel as the outlook for an oil production freeze seemed unlikely.
In Federal news, the government was stalled on passing a stop gap spending bill to keep the Federal Government operating beyond the September 30th fiscal year end.
In market news, Sonic Corp reported weaker than expected earnings.
